Australian women's clothing brand 'Kivari' recently opened their first Melbourne based boutique at Chadstone, Australia’s luxury shopping destination. The store is an evolution for the brand which looks to take influence from European travel and its coastal Australian origins.

The materiality and form of the space looks to create a coastal tonality which runs through the brand identity. With custom designed furniture and a wave like ceiling feature, each element of the space looks to create a unique experience for the brand.

The shopfront design was a key element shopping centre retail experience and the raked plaster and marble portal framing the doorway look to elevate the store design.

Another important design consideration was the large fitting room area towards the back with soft billowing curve curtains that are staggered to be visible from the front of the store and also to reaffirm the sea and wave design language.

Each design element was produced with longevity in mind and the neutrality and warmth of the space lends itself to changes in seasonal clothing and the vibrancy of the Kivari clothing.
